The earth is losing biodiversity at a catastrophic rate during Earth's 6th mass extinction event. Urgent action is needed to slow and reverse the effects that we can.

The earth is losing biodiversity at a catastrophic rate—experts believe we are in the 6th mass extinction (an event where 3/4 of species go extinct) of history.

While the loss of species and populations (a group of a single species at a location, for example, if all rabbits died out in Australia, or Germany, or Texas, it would not be an extinction but it would be the loss of a population) is a tragedy that should warrant action on its own, these losses have significant impacts on traditional government interests.
